About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a career as an Activity Supervisor within Northern Adelaide Local Health Network's Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS).

As an Activity Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of health care professionals, providing assistance and support to the Occupational Therapy team, ensuring a holistic approach to care for patients of the Inpatient Service. Your responsibilities will include developing and facilitating group activities, assessing individual needs and promoting independence and social inclusion.

In this role you will work alongside Occupational Therapy to:

  • implement individualised programs of support that are patient-focused and based on individual preferences and sensory needs
  • plan, facilitate and evaluate group programs based on patient needs and interests
  • ensure the provision of high-quality allied health service that maximises patient health outcomes
  • support the therapeutic programs as negotiated with the multidisciplinary team where relevant and appropriate
  • assist in the development of personal independence and autonomy of consumers
  • contribute towards the development and evaluation of the inpatient ward

To be eligible for this position, you must hold Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
