The Client & The Role
This progressive and large, mid-tier firm in Melbourne/Victoria is looking to take on a Business Services & Tax Accountant to their knowledgeable and professional team in their northwest office. This office holds approximately 20 staff, and they work in a friendly and collaborative way to support progression and success for the office.
The Duties
- Prepare & review accounts, tax returns, FBT returns, BAS and other compliance matters
- Work with accounting programs, such as MYOB, Xero and APS
- Prepare and manage client correspondence and management accounting reports for review
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting & financial reporting standards
- Prepare Business Activity Statements and quarterly & annual tax compliance matters
- Review work and train/support junior staff
The Applicant
- 2+ years’ experience in business services & tax
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related fields
- CA/CPA qualified or in the process of completing this
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
