Some of your responsibilities include:
- Assessment, measurement, fabrication and provision of orthotic solutions suited to the specific needs of adults and children with disability.
- Provision of comprehensive orthotic services in line with various funding body requirements e.g. NDIS, Enable NSW
- Fabrication of orthoses using traditional and/or digital methodologies
- Provision of centre based and community-based services (where appropriate)
- Provision of multidisciplinary solutions alongside Northcott’s Allied Health team (pedorthists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists)
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including the customer and their support network.
- Participation in emerging opportunities including research, pilot projects and service innovations.
Position Description
What we’re looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in Orthotics and Prosthetics
- Current registration with The Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA)
- Experience working as a clinician within the disability sector.
- Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person-centred approaches.
- Experience in leading critical reflection, applying theoretical frameworks and referring to research and literature to inform clinical practice.
