How will I help?

Do you enjoy using your exceptional writing, communications and project management skills as part of a high performing sales enablement team?

This Pursuit and Communication Manger role is part of the Client Engagement team within Westpac’s Global Transaction Services (GTS) team - one of Westpac’s Institutional Bank (WIB) key pillars.

This role will also have broad internal stakeholder engagement, allowing you to build your professional network across WIB, Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Pricing, Marketing, Corporate Affairs and a range of other stakeholders from across the Westpac Group .

The role also offers variety and an opportunity to learn about exciting new products and the technology being brought to market, in addition to the unique and evolving banking requirements of our institutional customers across different industries.

You will also:

  • Manage bids and tender responses ranging in complexity that articulate the GTS value proposition, benefits and service offerings to new and existing customers. This will require you to work closely with key stakeholders throughout our business to manage and deliver to project timelines
  • Deliver key components of our integrated marketing campaign including:
    • Creation of new sales content (including written, presentations, video and other digital assets),
    • Creation of new sales tools,
    • Coordination of marketing and advertising activities,
    • Creation of editorial for our leadership team; and
    • Production and management of client events
  • Manage and support various other sales enablement activities including client pitches and presentations
  • Manage our GTS collateral library including the periodic review and approval of all collateral
  • Ensure final production of all sales materials are of a high standard and uphold content and brand requirements

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a valued member of the Pursuit Management and Business Development Team, working closely with Deal Leads to ensure all sales materials produced are compelling, tailored to reflect each customer’s requirements, highlights our differentiators, and customer value proposition.

You will also have an opportunity to work directly with the GTS Leadership Team on our integrated marketing campaign, in addition to other internal and external comms.

What do I need?

You will have marketing and communications, sales enablement and/or bid management experience within banking, management consultancy or law firms (or similar).

You will have well established verbal and written communication skills and extensive persuasive writing skills in any published area, including marketing, communications, bid, tender or content management. Familiarity with delivering integrated marketing campaigns would be advantageous.

You will bring your creative design thinking and ability to create engaging digital assets into this role, in addition to your ability to communicate complex and technical information in simple terms.

  • A strong understanding of sales and the institutional buying process
  • Natural curiosity and enjoy learning from cross functional specialists
  • The ability to understand complex ideas and solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong project management skills and experience in managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously within set deadlines
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and other production software. SharePoint, Figma, JIRA and automation/AI tools will also be beneficial
