At Investa we’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Finance Manager **to provide overall financial support to the Funds Management business. This newly created role will be primarily responsible for the effective management of third-party providers, delivery of the financial and tax reporting, manage finance compliance matters as well as providing support to the Head of Finance – Funds and Mandates and the broader Funds Management team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Fund monthly unit pricing, monthly and quarterly reporting (financial information)
  • Managing outsource provider who is responsible for trust administration
  • Financial Reporting, including annual Financial Reports and managing external audits ensuring compliance with IFRS/AASB and other regulatory requirements
  • Tax reporting, including income tax, GST returns, depreciation and distributions
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations monthly prepared by either internal or external trust accounting team
  • Assist the resolution of any accounting technical matters and preparation of accounting papers
  • Effectively interface with the internal and external Tax team
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of payments including fund distributions
  • Provide recommendations regarding policies and governance issues
  • Early identification and reporting of potential risks to statutory compliance
  • Prepare and review all debt compliance covenant certificates
  • Prepare materials and attend the Management Accounts Committee.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Must have Commerce or Business / Commerce Degree majoring in Accounting qualification
  • Professional qualifications: CA or CPA (desirable, but not essential)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • People management and leadership
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/AASB and financial regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and reporting systems
  • Experience in preparation of Statutory Reports and Income Tax Returns for Trusts and Companies
  • Experience within property sector
  • Experience in dealing at the most senior level of an organisation
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Hands on approach to getting the job done and strong attention to detail
  • Teamwork and team development both within direct team and a broader matrixed finance group
  • Sound negotiation & influencing skills at all levels.

    Analyze data to create financial models that support planning and projections
