About the role We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate to undertake research at the Faculty of Engineering and IT to undertake research at the Faculty of Engineering and IT to develop sludge and water treatment technology. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will carry out water treatment and sludge treatment experiments, prepare and present results in papers and conferences, present at seminars, and co?supervise PhD students. About you As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will have the ability to undertake original research, rigorously design experiments and deliver high quality results for research projects. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful incumbent is expected to have expertise in wastewater treatment and sludge treatment and will be expected to support the activities of the research team and apply for independent research fellowships or funding. Other requirements will include: • A PhD Degree in Environmental Engineering or a very closely related field.• Experience in the areas of water/wastewater treatment and/or sludge treatment• Experience in the following topics: water treatment, wastewater treatment, sludge treatment• Experience in experiments for water/wastewater and/or sludge treatment• Experience in data analysis in the field of sludge or wastewater For the full list of selection criteria and role responsibilities, please download the Position StatementRemuneration
Base Salary Range: $105,250 pa (Level A3) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time and an appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 15 months.
