The Role
Our Strathmerton site is located on the Victoria-New South Wales border and is where our various cheese products get sliced, wrapped, and packaged into various forms, ready for distribution throughout Australia and export.
The Control Systems Engineer role is part of the Process Control team and reports to the Team Manager Automation on-site. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the Operational Technology (OT) network and systems. This includes supporting maintenance and production with OT-related issues, developing SCADA systems, and maintaining PLCs and other plant equipment.
Responsibilities
- Continuous Improvement and Maintenance of SCADA Systems
- Establish and maintain Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
- Administer and maintain Blend Management Systems (BMS).
- Implement continuous improvement and maintenance processes for ABB robots.
- Administer the Operational Technology (OT) network.
About you
- An engineering degree or extensive qualifications in the electrical trade will be considered.
- Previous experience with Rockwell hardware and software is highly desirable.
- Experience with various OT communication protocols and Cisco-managed switches is preferred.
- Experience in filling and packaging plant operations is required.
- Capability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics is essential.
