- Role Title: Clinical Nurse Consultant - Infection Control
- Role Type: Permanent, Full Time
- Department and Location: Quality and Risk , Mater Hospital, North Sydney.
- Salary: 57.66 AUD base per hour.

About The Role:
- The role is 4-5 days per week (flexible for the right candidate).
- Liaising with the nursing staff and medical officers to ensure optimal care delivery with expert clinical advice in infection prevention and control.
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver education across the hospital, including but not limited to staff, patients, and participation in hospital orientation program.
- Support screening and assessment of infection risk of patients along with surveillance of facility infections and management of any outbreaks.
- Staff health, including supporting recruitment and onboarding in accordance with NSW Health Policy Directives, vaccination programs and management of any blood/body fluid exposures.
- Support the hospital with compliance to NSQHS Standards, Standard 3.
About You:
- Qualification – Bachelor of Nursing with AHPRA registration (Post Graduation preferred).
- Minimum 5 years post registration experience.
- Self-directed and ability to work autonomously within the multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to conversations of a sensitive nature.
- Proficiency with databases and high level of computer literacy.
- Commitment to currency of practice and ongoing education.
