The Role

This position will work closely with the ICT Business Systems Manager to provide Level 1/2 technical assistance and support, ensuring the smooth operation of Hypersonix information systems and end-user computing environments. The position will ensure compliance and uptime of all steady-state IT services while also working on multiple projects that deliver positive compliance outcomes for the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure availability of corporate devices and infrastructure, including laptops, printers, networks, and video conferencing equipment.
  • Follow change control and escalation procedures ensuring high levels of performance and accurate reporting.
  • Work closely with the IT Manager and vendors to execute IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and process improvements.
  • Report critical incidents promptly.
  • Execute BAU service delivery, ensuring appropriate policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are in place and met.
  • Ensure all risks are identified and added to the risk register.
  • Proactively onboard new starters to ensure workstations and accounts are provisioned in a timely manner.
  • Execute the termination process for leavers, including collection of hardware.
  • Provide onsite support for end-user devices including laptops, and BYOD mobile devices.
  • Contribute to the development of technical guides and documentation for end users and compliance.
  • Apply Hypersonix Backup & Restore policy and Patch Management policy to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Support delivery of key technology projects such as infrastructure enhancements, network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and cybersecurity related changes.
  • Support delivery of compliance projects
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve the end-user experience, while enabling efficiency and effectiveness of the business using innovative solution design thinking.

Comfort with a degree of ambiguity is also required for this role. To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous IT Support experience (ideally 2 to 3 years) in a managed service environment, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues while providing exceptional customer service
  • Experience working in an IT environment compliant to ISO 27001 or PCI DSS desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, consistently demonstrated via all engagement channels; phone, email, and face to face, as well as a team-focused mentality with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a flexible, fast moving and dynamic environment with some level of ambiguity, and confidence to clarify business needs and identify opportunities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
  • Windows 11 Desktop and Windows Server 2022 environments
  • MS 365 suite (includes SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange)
  • MS Entra ID device and user administration
  • MS Intune device management including compliance, app packaging, and policy deployment
  • In-depth knowledge of best practice networking concepts including VLANs, IPS, Wireshark, VPCs, encryption methods, and network segmentation
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices
  • CAD workstation technology, including dedicated graphics and multiple monitors

Supplementary requirements

  • Driver's License, preferred.
  • Background checks, including Australian National Police clearance check.
