The Role
Under the direction of the Materiel Services Manager the Maintenance Systems Officer (Product Schedule Manager) will manage the financial and maintenance processes associated with various heavy vehicle fleets within the region.
This will be achieved through strong budgetary management, directing technical administrators, planners, schedulers and trade teams to achieve maximum capability for Defence.
You will build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships throughout the region becoming the conduit between National Fleet Managers, Logistics Operations Branch and end users within Military Units.

Material Maintenance within Joint Logistics Unit - South, is responsible for varying levels of Defence Land Material maintenance in South Australia and extended regions.
You will be part of a commonwealth team, consisting of a peer group of technical managers and logistical support personnel.
The maintenance facilities and workforce are supported by Australian Industry Partner contractors, including personnel managers, technical administrators, trades people and warehousing personnel.
All members work in a cohesive shared environment as a reputable team with a customer focused culture.
Our Ideal Candidate
The preferred candidate will have:
- A thorough and progressive understanding of vehicle fleet maintenance management principles while adhering to budgetary requirements.
- Experience using Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to enhance work order management and conduct trend analysis, optimising fleet availability.
- Strong stakeholder focus displaying direct liaison with customers, suppliers and the maintenance contractor.
The successful candidate will build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective contractual relationships.
