The role:
This role is a pivotal part of the Finance and Administration team and is accountable for all accounts payable functions including:
- Processing high volume (approx. 850/month) of supplier invoices in collaboration with another Accounts Payable Officer, ensuring correct assignment of cost centre and GL codes;
- Reconcile supplier statements with outstanding accounts ensuring integrity and accuracy of Accounts Payable records;
- Actively liaise with operations teams and managers with regards to accurate job costing and invoicing processing cost allocation and approval;
- Timely and efficient management of Accounts Payable email inbox;
- Process weekly and monthly payment runs;
- Email remittance advice and respond promptly to supplier enquiries;
- Assist in preparation for monthly, quarterly and yearly audits;
- Assist with administration and workshop data entry requirements as required.
The Requirements:
- Proven experience in focused Accounts Payable role with a minimum 2 years’ experience;
- Basic knowledge in bookkeeping around expense and payables;
- Experience using Xero, Approval Max, HUBDOCS, or other similar financial accounting systems ( desirable )
- Intermediate Excel Skills;
- Exceptional Attention to Detail;
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks;
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
