About the Role:

As an External Sales Representative, you will work closely with the State Manager to promote WEG's industrial electrical products and solutions. This field-based position will require regular travel across Western Australia, allowing you to build strong relationships with key decision-makers, manage existing accounts, and generate new business opportunities.

Your mission will be to deliver WEG’s total industrial electrical solutions to customers, ensuring their satisfaction and expanding our reach across various sectors. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer engagement, you'll play a key role in continuing to position WEG as a trusted provider in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect target customers, visit them frequently building relationships with key-decision makers, and to create market awareness of WEG to raise our profile in the marketplace.
  • Call on and service existing high priority customers (as directed by state manager), to ensure accounts are maintained and are growing in line with budgetary expectation.
  • Collaborate in the creation of a business plan to achieve increased sales.
  • Represent the company in meetings with OEMs, end users, engineering firms and business partners , and at industry tradeshows and events.
  • WEG Australia works closely with a network of business partners, developing channels to market for the various product ranges. The role includes involvement in the development of accounts to ensure that WEG can provide end-users with the timely availability of products, and associated repair services. (workshop and field based).
  • Provide clear, logical, comprehensive and accurate reports after trips and customer profiling.
  • Ensure customer orders contain the necessary information to process them, assist in clarifying ambiguous information and obtaining missing data.
  • Assist with the submission of tenders and sales offers, as well as following up and providing appropriate feedback to management.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Managers and Business Development Team to gather intelligence on projects and systems being managed or commercialised within the territory.
  • Ensure your work practice is in accordance with company policy, ISO procedures and OH&S guidelines.
  • Allocated duties not specifically within this document, but within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from a person occupying a position at this level.
  • Specific performance targets will be negotiated as part of WEG Australia's regular performance and review processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 2-3 years experience in a similar sales role. Experience in the electrical product supply industry is an advantage.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and public speaking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Qualifications: A relevant electrical/mechanical qualification will be highly advantageous
  • License: A valid driver’s license is required.
