Salary range $92,600 - $105,064 plus statutory super.

The Conditions Officer role offers an outstanding career opportunity for a professional who is passionate about using their expertise to support VIT in its regulation of Victorian teachers. With knowledge of stakeholder engagement, analysing and evaluating large volumes of information, and detailed report writing, the role will ensure VIT upholds standards of high-quality teaching and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.

About the role
This role will require you to:
* Effectively manage processes relating to conditions imposed on the registration of teachers, including monitoring compliance, analysing and evaluating information, preparing briefs on complex issues, developing recommendations for decision makers and driving continuous improvement initiatives;
* Communicate and negotiate confidently with registered teachers, applicants, and external stakeholders to facilitate compliance with conditions imposed on teacher registrations;
* Exercise sound professional judgement about the application of legislation;
* Provide timely, authoritative and accurate advice to internal stakeholders with respect to processes relating to mutual recognition and probity checks;
* Effectively utilise existing business systems to capture incoming information from external sources, including other regulatory authorities;
* Manage and ensure the accuracy of VIT's Register of Disciplinary Action in line with legislative requirements

About you
As an experienced Conditions Officer you will have sound and practical knowledge of current regulatory practices and compliance monitoring.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills combined with a highly organised approach. In addition to this, as the successful candidate, you will have:
* Knowledge of risk-based regulatory practices and processes, particularly relating to compliance monitoring and investigations.
* Well-developed organisation and planning skills, and a demonstrated ability to meet work outcomes and deadlines.
* Strong ability to analyse information and interpret and apply legislation, policy, and procedures.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain legislation, policies and processes to internal and external stakeholders, including in written briefings.
