Position overview
The VBA has commenced on a significant reform program, with a focus on becoming a Trusted Regulator notionally called the ‘Trusted Regulator program'. This program encompasses transformation across consumer outcomes within licensing and registration, inspections and compliance and enforcement. The aim of all of this is to deliver on the Regulatory Policy Statement and to better support consumer outcomes.
The Head of Transformation – Consumer and Integrated Regulator position within the Transformation Office will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the delivery of Trusted Regulator initiatives focusing on consumer outcomes. This will include the delivery of initiatives and activities to establish the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) and related reforms. This will include collaborating closely with impacted VBA divisions and business units to understand how the operating model, supporting processes, mindsets and behaviours need to transform and integrate across other transformation streams.
The Head of Transformation – Consumer and Integrated Regulator will bring insights across policy and regulatory requirements, operational processes and consumer experience to help design, deliver and manage VBA's Trusted Regulator initiatives, driving VBA's financial sustainability and optimising operations.
What we are looking for:
* Substantial experience in leadership roles delivering organisation-wide people and operating model transformation activities in organisations similar to the VBA
* Extensive knowledge and experience in consumer-centric operating model transformation in a complex regulatory environment
* Extensive experience in providing high-level strategic advice including the formulation of recommendations, action plans and strategic responses
* Proven ability to convert strategic priorities into a cohesive program of actionable initiatives
* Strong understanding of policy, regulatory and industry environment
* Tertiary qualifications in business transformation, operational excellence, consumer excellence, change management, and/or in other relevant areas
