Burdens is a market leader in plumbing and bathroom supplies. With 15 branches across Melbourne metro and regional Victoria we are expanding and we’re ready to appoint a new Assistant Branch Manager to our Thomastown Branch.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader who can support the Branch Manager to lead a small sales and logistics team that delivers outstanding customer sales and service across Trade Counter and Showroom Sales.

The Position

You will be responsible for supporting the Branch Manager with delegating and coaching to ensure the team are capable and motivated to provide high level customer sales and service. The right person will most likely be ready to take the next step forward in advancing their career in management.

Your main focus areas will include:

• Responsibility for efficient daily running of all branch activities

• Provide exceptional customer service and product advice

• Coordinate sales and distribution of products to customers and between branches

• Maintain stock levels and manage inventory

• Support team members to create a harmonious and productive workplace

• Provide a healthy and safe working environment.

About You

• You have a can-do attitude and determination to drive branch performance

• You are well-organised, have sound problem solving skills

• Previous supervisory/management experience, ideally in retail or wholesale trade, building supplies or warehouse environment, will be preferred.

• Confident in building positive relationships with your team members, customers, suppliers, and senior management.

• You enjoy multi-tasking, and inspiring others to succeed.

• Proficient computer skills, quick learner

• Vic Driver’s License is essential
