We are hiring for a Sales Director - Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) to be based in our Sydney office. You will be responsible for leading conversations across key established and growth verticals in ANZ, focused on cross-platform media sales (including digital, video, TV, events) at a full range of services from strategy to creative, content, communications and in-market activations. Reporting into Bloomberg’s Sales Director in Singapore, the successful candidate will nurture and grow revenue from Bloomberg’s existing relationships and also develop new business within the markets of ANZ.

We'll trust you to:

  1. Deliver the sales target with the ability to bring together compelling pitches and proposals.
  2. Identify prospects across ANZ to develop new business relationships and opportunities.
  3. Manage relationships and sales activity with key clients and agencies, coordinating multiple resources to close deals and deliver campaigns.
  4. Develop strong and trusted relationships with client and agency senior management, C-Suite business stakeholders, and through all levels in these organisations to maximise revenue opportunities.
  5. Engage with colleagues in international offices to exchange ideas, share information and update account information.
  6. Provide regular sales updates and forecasts to your Line Manager on current revenue and sales pipeline - using Salesforce daily as a CRM tool.
  7. Develop strong relationships with our existing partners in the market and lead these key client relationships to achieve the best results for the business.
  8. Develop new ideas and uncover market intelligence across the region for Bloomberg Media sales and partners.

You’ll need to have:

  1. 10+ years of ANZ and/or regional advertising sales experience in an international or large national media brand.
  2. Experience in B2B and consultative sales in a direct sales revenue generating role.
  3. Proficiency in opening up new opportunities across key growth sectors, including the Technology, Finance, Government and Energy sectors.
  4. Direct experience in liaising with and managing media agencies and clients.
  5. Experience in presenting and pitching strategic sales proposals to senior external and internal partners.
  6. Ability to effectively multi-task, account manage, strategize and develop business.
  7. Collaborative approach, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work well in teams across borders.
  8. Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  9. Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization.
