Role Overview
Kinexus is excited to be partnered with Ocean Infinity to hire a dynamic Capture Manager. We are seeking a proactive and strategic Capture Manager to drive the expansion of cutting-edge intelligence and maritime capability in the Defence sector.

You will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities across the Australian Defence market and the broader APAC region, leading cross-functional teams, and harnessing your deep industry expertise and strategic insight to develop winning bids and propel business growth. As a Capture Manager, you will play a crucial role in crafting persuasive, high-quality proposals that align with Defence's requirements and long-term vision.

This position is preferably based in Sydney, Canberra, or Brisbane; however, strong candidates from other locations will also be considered. The role offers a work-from-home arrangement but requires flexibility for travel both within Australia and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities by proactively researching contracts, tenders, and market trends within the Defence sector.
  • Manage the bid/no-bid process, ensuring strategic alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end development of high-quality, competitive proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements while differentiating Ocean Infinity from competitors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (both local and global), including operations, finance, HSSEQ, and technical subject matter experts, to develop winning proposals.
  • Engage and coordinate with external suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and partners, to enhance business opportunities.
  • Develop tailored bid strategies, incorporating competitive analysis, pricing models, and innovative value propositions that align with Ocean Infinity's solution-centric capabilities.
  • Represent Ocean Infinity at industry events, client meetings, and conferences, effectively communicating the company's capabilities and strategic vision.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by monitoring competitor activities, emerging technologies, and market developments to refine business and bid strategies.
  • Continuously improve bid performance by tracking key metrics, conducting post-bid reviews, and implementing lessons learned for future proposals.

Requirements:

  • Must be an Australian citizen and hold or have held a minimum NV1 Australian Government security clearance.
  • Background in Intelligence, Special Operations, or military, preferably with maritime experience.
  • Proven track record in building pipelines and achieving success.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive, driven, and able to work autonomously.
  • Deep understanding of industry-specific safety, security, and compliance requirements.
