We are Black Nova VC, and we're championing the next generation of B2B technology startups. We're working with one of our portfolio companies to help them build their Software Engineering team.

This startup is building a messaging app which enables natural and flowing conversations more like the ones in real life. It's a bi-directional interface that works with a simple tap or swipe, without typing names. A complex problem solved with a novel and very simple design.

The initial results:

• 256-bit encryption

Here's how you can make an impact as a Senior Software Engineer:

• Execute the technical strategy and product roadmap for the infrastructure and platform
• Lead and implement the architecture, design, and development of the backend systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Take ownership of DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, IaaC, and monitoring
• Solve complex challenges such as real-time data synchronization, high-throughput message handling, and efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Have direct engagement and collaboration and communication with their CTO, Head of Product, CFO, and Co-Founders.

• Programming Languages: Elixir, Rust, Go, Node, Ruby
• Frameworks: React.JS, React Native (nice to have)
• Cloud & Infra: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
• Security best practices, data privacy requirements, and encryption technologies
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable backend architectures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
