About the Opportunity
As our Assistive Technology Trainer - Career Visions, you will utilise your specialist knowledge and skills in assessment and training to support the Career Visions Trainees to successfully complete a Certificate I in Workplace Skills and to obtain proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and assistive technology . In this role you will also:
- Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate specialised assistive technology training services in consultation with trainees based on needs identified throughout the recruitment and selection process and delivery of the training component across 10 weeks;
- Develop a guide working with TAFE on accessing the Connect portal for screen readers and work with TAFE to test and identify improvements required to improve accessibility;
- Support the delivery of Certificate I in Workplace Skills onsite at South Bank TAFE to meet grant requirements within prescribed timeframes working with the TAFE trainer through use of assistive technology supports surrounding the learning material;

About You
As part of the Employment Services team, you should have a related qualification in Information Technology and or significant demonstrated experience. In addition, a qualification held or ability to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is encouraged. You will also have:
- Experience in training and assessment in mainstream information technology;
- Demonstrated ability to create and assess competency models based on skills being learnt;
- Excellent understanding of assistive technology and print access technologies in the disability sector.
