Job DescriptionAbout the role
Reporting to the South Australian Regional Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsible in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work in a close-knit team, with the Regional Manager and Supervisor, to ensure smooth operations.
Duties
- Manage and supervise construction activities on site.
- Monitor work progress, ensuring that the project is on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality control are maintained.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and project plans.
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays that arise on site.
- Ensure that all site work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with design and planning teams to ensure project specifications are met.
- Provide technical support to site teams and ensure work is carried out according to plans and specifications.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- 3-5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience within the Civil Construction industry, understanding of construction projects, work activities, resources etc.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience within the Civil Construction industry
