Your Position
An experienced HSE Officer , dedicated to the coordination, implementation and monitoring of our developed HSE System to ensure a Health and Safe Work Environment for all personnel. As part of a team of Safety Professionals, you hands on approach and commitment to Continual Improvement will ensure success in this role.
Your Responsibilities
- Support, coordination and positive communication of KPL HSE Policies and Procedures using the latest in Subcontractor Management Software
- Provide direction and education to Project Teams and Subcontractors to develop and implement HSE Solutions
- Undertake Risk Assessments, Workplace Inspections and Task Observations
- Develop Toolbox Meetings and promote positive Safety Culture
- Coordinate and Conduct Incident Investigations to identify root cause and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Essential skills & qualifications
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety Management
- 2+ Years Experience in Safety Role
- High Risk Construction Work Experience – Construction, Mining, Petroleum & Manufacturing
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current National Police Clearance
- Ability to obtain Working with Children Check and Aged Care Sector Employment Check
- Strong Knowledge of Work Health & Safety Legislation and Codes of Practice
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to negotiate and problem solve at a high level
- Ability to plan, organize and supervise in an evolving, fast paced environment
- Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug & Alcohol Screening
