About the Role

K & B are seeking a Trainee Timber Systems Designer to join our dynamic and highly skilled team. You will work closely with our highly experienced team to learn all aspects of the prefabricated timber framing and construction industry.

This role will be highly suited to newly graduated drafting students or even experienced trade people looking to get off the tools.

The role will include

  • Liaising with builders, architects and engineers
  • Provide design solutions for quotes and fabrication in a timely manner
  • Providing our customers with smart, cost-effective building solutions
  • Collaborate with the existing design, sales and production teams to ensure the best outcomes for the company and customer

Skills and Experience

Must have:

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Outlook, MS Word & Excel
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail – be detail orientated, organized and customer focused
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a desire to build your career
  • Efficient time management skills – the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Experience in estimating or building will be a significant advantage
  • Experience With AutoCAD is also an advantage
