We’re looking for a Recycling Assistant who’s eager to keep things running smoothly—sorting, processing, and handling recyclable materials to ensure efficient waste management and environmental responsibility!
- Sort and transfer recyclable materials to the correct processing areas following established procedures.
- Identify and separate different types of materials (e.g., plastics, metals, electronics) for proper recycling and disposal.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure materials are sorted and processed accurately, maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with additional tasks such as receiving, sorting, compacting, or dispatching recycled goods as assigned by Supervisors or Managers.
- Build positive connections with team members and external partners to support smooth recycling operations.
- Work collaboratively to meet recycling targets and maintain an efficient, well-organised facility.
- Continuously seek improvements in recycling processes to enhance efficiency and sustainability efforts.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, promptly reporting any hazards, near misses, or incidents to the Supervisor or Manager.
- Follow all safety guidelines when handling materials and operating equipment, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others.
- Adhere to WH&S regulations and ensure compliance with Safe Working Practices (SWPs) on site.
- Support training initiatives to improve safety awareness and minimize workplace incidents.
- Receive and process incoming recyclable items in line with company protocols and environmental regulations.
- Permanent Full-Time: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm.
- Kewdale 6105.
- $58,000 base plus superannuation.
