Your new role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Prevention Policy & Research team as Senior Strategic Policy & Research Officer on a full-time fixed term basis. Reporting to the Manager - Prevention Policy & Research, the role will primarily focus on strategic policy development, responsible for research and report writing in response to contemporary and emerging corruption and police misconduct issues and risks.
Duties include:
* Prepare high-quality authoritative reports and develop appropriate recommendations for policy, system or practice change to assist corruption prevention.
* Undertake research and complex analysis across a range of information systems.
* Provide analysis and advice to senior management on the policy and strategic implications of initiatives and proposals.
* Plan and manage projects on policy and research issues and ensure project objectives are met in a timely way.

Our requirements / Your skill set
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
* Policy skills - highly developed research, conceptual and analytical skills demonstrated in the development, analysis and resolution of complex policy issues.
* Demonstrated high level written and verbal skills in policy and report writing, analysis and briefing.
* Experience in public sector operating environments and a tertiary qualification are desirable.
Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
Due to a conflict-of-interest IBAC is unable to accept applications for secondment from Victoria Police employees.
