The company is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and has offices in the UK, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Guatemala, Philippines, and Bahamas.
This role is instrumental in supporting the technical implementation of security controls. We seek a motivated individual with a foundational understanding of security measures and solutions, who is eager to receive training and upskill to cover any knowledge gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the security of AWS, Microsoft suite, and endpoint protection tools (e.g., CrowdStrike).
- Implement and maintain security controls for applications and data in cloud environments.
- Provide security guidance for infrastructure and applications across cloud environments.
- Conduct security assessments for development projects, ensuring integration throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Manage user groups, permissions, and access policies in line with company standards.
- Support SSO systems and automations for provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Administer privileged access and secret management tools to enforce access control.
- Contribute to and follow incident response playbooks.
- Configure and maintain SIEM and SOAR systems for comprehensive security monitoring.
- Integrate logs and data sources into central security tools and assist with incident analysis and remediation.
- Implement network security controls (e.g., IDS/IPS, WAF).
- Configure WAFs to protect critical web applications.
- Operate endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools to manage device security incidents.
- Collaborate on secure device and asset management practices.
- Assist with ISO 27001/27002 control implementation and certification.
- Help maintain documentation for ISO 27001 audits and compliance.
Who are you?
- Basic understanding of security controls and processes, particularly in the context of cloud environments such as AWS.
- Understanding of asset and device management, including experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools like CrowdStrike.
- Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) systems.
- Knowledge of identity management solutions and processes, including Single-Sign-On (SSO) and privileged access management.
- Basic understanding of network and web security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
- Ability to assist in monitoring, analysing, and responding to security events and incidents.
- Exposure to cloud security concepts, particularly in AWS environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in cyber security.
