Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Vascular Surgeons to join the Surgical Department.
About Northern Health:
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
Northern Health’s Vascular Department are looking for a vascular surgeon to join their team. The role will encompass ward, theatre and on call duty in addition to assisting with back fill within specialist clinics.
This is a fixed term part time position (32.5 hours per fortnight) until February 2026
To be successful in this role you will have:
Essential
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential – MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalent
- Appropriate specialty qualifications - Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and registration
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check.

- Demonstrated leadership skills in the area of their expertise
- Demonstrated capability and interest in research
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
- Demonstrated understanding of Clinical Governance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Clinical knowledge and skills in the area of expertise
- Behaviours reflective of the principles articulated by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
