The College is seeking an individual eager for a career transition, leveraging industry expertise to guide students in career counselling,. There will also be opportunities for support towards further study into a career practitioner role.
Position Description
- Individual career counselling for students including self-exploration and understanding of the student's strengths, abilities, values and interests to identify appropriate career and educational pathways in relation to Vocational Pathways
- Planning, implementation and review of Careers Education and Career Pathways in the College.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including parents, the Local Learning Employment Network, employers, community groups and RTOs
- Provision of job readiness training, including interview skills and resume preparation
- Supporting students with post-school pathway applications
- Provides career advisory services to students and parents or staff
- Oversee and provided the following; one-on-one careers counselling, course selection, Year 9 Morrisby program, Year 12 Interviews, MIPS Interviews, VTAC interviews, exits and pathways interviews, and work experience.
- Manage and oversee the Careers Department staffing and budget
- Manage the collection of destination data of exited students
- To take an active role in delivering support across the school as deemed appropriate in consultation with the Principal.

Key Selection Criteria
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain comprehensive data on students
- Demonstrated ability to undertake individual careers counselling for students and families
- Capacity to coordinate the delivery of a range of careers support services
- Demonstrated ability to lead school pathways and transition planning in Senior and Middle School to support students and parents
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain networks that enhance the provision of effective internal and external services for students
