The Role & Team
Specsavers is seeking a proactive and experienced Information Security Officer to join our Global Information Security team, while also working closely with the regional Legal, Risk and Projects department for the ANZ region. You will engage with both global and local teams to drive security initiatives and ensure alignment across the business for security. You will work closely with Cyber Security Operations to ensure a coordinated approach to security within the region.
In this role, you will help the business manage it security risks and its compliance with security policies, ensuring transparency in reporting and alignment with risk objectives. Additionally, you will lead vendor assurance processes and collaborate with the Privacy Officer on the development of contractual security frameworks.
This position requires a hands-on approach to security management and a deep understanding of information security within retail and healthcare environments. As a strong communicator, you will work with stakeholders at all levels to assess risks, maintain compliance, and drive security improvements. By collaborating closely with the global security team, you will contribute to shaping the information security and governance processes for the ANZ region, while ensuring the protection of confidential data and mitigating cyber risks.
The Skills We’re Looking For:
- Proven expertise in information security governance, risk management, and assurance
- Experience gained in industry within a retail or healthcare environment
- Formal information security qualification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE)
- Strong knowledge and experience of leading risk assessments
- Experience reviewing third party contracts and carrying out third party assurance
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation, including non-technical stakeholders, to provide clear guidance and strategic support on security-related matters
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively as part of a global team, with a willingness to attend global calls as required
