Description:
The successful candidate will have experience of the below:
- Domestic Assistance
- Personal Care
- Meal Preparation
- Community Access
- All other aspects of daily living as per their NDIS Plan
Mandatory Requirements:
Certificate III in Home and Community Care, Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health (Working towards or welling to obtain)
Industry experience in Australia, or personal lived experience
Valid driver’s license
Reliable Vehicle
Comprehensive Car Insurance
First Aid certificate
CPR certificate
Current Working with Children Check for paid roles (or willing to obtain)
Current Police check (or willing to obtain)
NDIS Modules (or willing to obtain)
A smartphone that has access to the internet and the ability to download rostering app
Proof of vaccination
Tasks & Responsibilities
Where required, assist individuals to undertake a range of activities of daily living including personal and self care, eating and maintenance of personal hygiene, using the principles of active support.
Support individuals to use their preferred method of communication and assist them to be understood, listened to and responded to at all times.
Work effectively with people who have high physical needs and/or behaviours of concern implementing manual handling assessments and/or behaviour support plans as required and in keeping with True Living Accommodation and Respite procedures and policies.
Maintain documentation, records and data collection as required and in accordance with the relevant legislation and True Living Accommodation and Respite policies.
Interact and communicate with other team members in the interests of service users and of achieving a consistent approach to service provision.
