Salary range $80,000 - $90,000 pa plus compulsory superannuation.
Task & Responsibilities
As a Lead Installation Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality Audiovisual projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing project tender and quotation documents alongside the Project Manager.Coordinating the successful delivery of AV projects within scope, budget, and timeline.Assisting in project planning, including resource allocation and documentation review.Installing and commissioning AV systems in collaboration with programmers and engineers.Supervising sites and managing subcontractors.Maintaining and tracking project documentation, including hardware schedules and audit records.Preparing professional project communications using MS Office, Aconex, and other relevant tools.Ensuring quality assurance by managing installation standards and documenting testing and commissioning processes.Conducting site audits, OHS risk assessments, and toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture.Reporting project status and monitoring hours and costs in collaboration with the Project Manager.Addressing project issues and ensuring customer concerns are resolved.Tracking and reconciling project Bills of Materials (BOM).Building AV racks as required.Managing defect rectifications during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).Attending site meetings and responding to service call-outs as needed.Performing troubleshooting, DSP, and control system maintenance.Coordinating with the Service Department to review planned maintenance needs.Supporting client service requests on-site.Mentoring and developing trainee technicians.Being available for regional work when required.
Qualification & Experience
Strong organizational skills and a methodical, logical approach.Experience in servicing and maintaining audio-visual equipment.Hands-on experience in commercial and construction AV installations.A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).A current Australian driver’s license.Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).An Open Cabling License with Structured Cabling endorsement.An Elevated Work Platform (EWP) License.
