Position Title: Nursing Unit Manager
Employment Type: Max Term, Part Time (Jan 2026)
Hours: 20 hours per week
Position Grade: Nursing Unit Manager, Level 2
Salary: $133,112.75 (pro-rata)
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2017

Our IBAC and dental service offers a diverse and exciting opportunity for a nurse leader. The unit offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with the medical heads to grow our units, responding to the needs of our community.
A truly ambulatory service, the IBAC and dental service offers a range of clinics, treatment room procedures and the unique ability to develop strong relationships with our service users.

About you:
You will lead nursing, dental and administration staff, all with unique skills sets, abilities and capabilities. You will be accountable for both the clinical management of the units, whilst also adopting the business functions, ensuring that appropriate billings, activity and bookings are maintained. You will need to be flexible, dynamic with the ability to think laterally.

Selection Criteria:
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency. Recognised post graduate tertiary qualification in a clinical speciality or management (or willingness to undertake same within 12 months) or equivalent relevant experience. Demonstrated operational, financial, human resource, workplace health and safety and effective communication / interpersonal skills experience at departmental level. Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and current nursing issues. Ability to deliver, evidenced based, patient centred care within a complex environment. Demonstrated experience in quality improvement principles, clinical policy and procedure development and implementation. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice.
