As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group are seeking a General Yard Hand to join our team at our head manufacturing plant in Adelaide (Ferryden Park) within our Switchroom department. We would like team members who are excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.
Schedule
- Casual position (With a review after six months for full-time)
- Monday – Friday & reasonable overtime as required.
Wages / Salary
- Negotiable
The Position
A General Yard Hand provides the skills necessary to maintain the upkeep and housekeeping of the manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities
- General factory cleaning, e.g., clean-up of your work area, sweeping floors or clearing scrap metal from behind machinery or off the floor, etc.
- Operate the forklift safely and competently (Only if you have a licence).
- Emptying site bins into the correct waste location.
- Removing any waste found on site to ensure the site is well maintained.
- Maintain site cleanliness and overall housekeeping of the site.
Required Competencies
The successful applicant will have the following experience and skills:
- Current forklift license.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Understand the basic use of hand-tools.
- A driving license's.
