About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Farm Hand to join our team at Shannon Farming in Loxton, South Australia. As a full-time Farm Hand, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of general farming tasks to support the efficient and effective running of our agricultural operations.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining farm machinery and equipment
- Assisting with the planting, cultivation and harvesting of crops
- Operating large farm machinery and equipment safely and effectively
- Performing general farm maintenance and repair work as needed
- Collaborating with the farm management team to identify and implement improvements
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar farm or agricultural role
- Strong practical skills and experience in operating large farm machinery and equipment
- Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Knowledge of farming practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
