The Environmental Sales specialist manages customer relationships, providing product information, quotes and basic troubleshooting, whilst growing the customer base.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage customer relationships, product information and service requests including complaint response
- Manage quotes and orders to ensure customer requirements are met
- Undertake basic setup and troubleshooting with customers in a timely manner
- Serve as the main liaison for key manufacturers, maintaining relationships and facilitating communication between internal teams and manufacturer contacts
- Review and follow up on all orders and outstanding quotations
- Conduct analysis of monthly figures for key manufacturers and predict sales targets by evaluating project pipelines, which includes forecasting the success rate of substantial quotes
- Build relationships and identify opportunities
- Ensure all systems are up to date
- Contribute to the customer service team by assisting other sales staff and counter sales
- A Science / Engineering or Environmentally focused degree is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An interest and understanding of the research sector
- Experience in providing customer support and sales over the phone
- Ability to be proactive in calling clients and confident in following up quotes to close the deal
- Experience using software similar to Dynamic
- A drive to succeed, and passion for the products and industry
