We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Product Manager to bridge business winning and product & services teams, ensuring our products align with market demands, customer needs, and technical capabilities.
About the Role
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for translating customer needs into actionable product roadmaps that drive adoption and commercial success. Working at the intersection of strategy, technology, and customer engagement, you will navigate regulatory constraints, competitive positioning, and adoption challenges to ensure Silentium Defence products deliver operational advantage and long-term viability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dynamic product roadmaps that align with customer requirements, market needs, and regulatory standards.
- Apply Lean Startup principles and minimum viable product methodologies to validate and iterate product features
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify market differentiators.
- Lead workshops with business winning and product and services teams to capture mission-critical requirements for products.
- Act as a bridge between business winning and product teams, ensuring seamless integration of customer feedback into technical development.
- Develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and long-term sustainment plans.
- Track and report on product performance metrics, ensuring continuous optimisation and operational readiness.
About You
We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong technical and commercial acumen.
You should have:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Systems Engineering, Business Development, or Program Management.
- Experience working with software-intensive embedded systems.
- Understanding of defence industry standards and export control regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, ASDEFCON, UK MOD, US DoD procurement models).
- Experience developing total cost of ownership models, pricing strategies, and sustainment plans.
- Strong ability to translate customer needs into technical specifications and product roadmaps.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders, defence primes, and government agencies.
- Security clearance eligibility is essential.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Certifications in Product Management are desirable.
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps, or Agile development.
