We’re looking for a proactive and organised Medical Receptionist to be an integral part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team at Ceduna Family Medical Practice . The Ceduna Family Medical Practice is a 'One Stop Shop' for all health care needs including general practitioner, allied health, dental health, mental health, home and community care, midwifery, community health services and primary health care to provide an integrated approach to delivering health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional and friendly reception services, handling client inquiries via phone or in person.
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, and ensure smooth operation of front-line administrative tasks.
- Support financial processes including invoicing, banking, petty cash management, and finance coding.
- Maintain accurate records, data entry, and manage administrative requests (filing, photocopying, etc.).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with teams to enhance service delivery.
- Assist in implementing and reviewing administrative procedures and ensure compliance with workplace policies.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven communication skills with clients, staff, and external organisations.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service, especially with diverse cultural and client needs.
- High competency in Microsoft Office Suite and office administration systems.
- Experience in financial administration, file management, and data entry.
- Knowledge of primary health care, community health principles, and relevant legislation.
