The Senior Work Health and Safety Business Partner is accountable to the Director of Workforce through the Work Health Safety and Injury Management Manager (WHSIM Manager) for the provision of a prompt, comprehensive, effective, and efficient injury prevention service for SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) in accordance with Work Health and Safety Legislation, SA Health Policy, SAAS procedures and Accreditation Standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the WHSIM Manager to resolve complex issues impacting staff health, safety, and welfare, providing regular reports on WHS operations activities and status.
2. Implement the WHS system, processes, policies, and procedures across SA Ambulance Service (SAAS), contributing to the development of SAAS WHS processes and supporting local initiatives aligned with SA Health's strategic objectives.
3. Monitor WHS performance, escalate emerging risks to the WHSIM Manager, and draft local policies and procedures as required.
4. Deliver prompt, efficient, and cost-effective WHS services across SAAS, leading innovative approaches to address WHS risks and facilitating complex accident investigations.
5. Coordinate health and safety representative elections, inductions, and educational forums, providing expert advice to Senior Managers on all aspects of WHS.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with workforce teams, managers, staff, and stakeholders, working collaboratively to resolve WHS issues and contribute to a positive work culture.
