  • Part Time, Contracted Role working 18.75 hours per week up to 3 May 2026 (Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesday)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Pharmacist in General Medicine to provide high-level clinical care to patients, mentorship to a team of pharmacists and ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality pharmacy services. In this role, you will exercise independent and autonomous judgement, providing expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, as well as medical, nursing, and allied health professionals. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and guidelines while driving excellence in pharmacy practice.

With a strong focus on optimising patient outcomes, you will implement evidence-based strategies to promote the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of pharmaceuticals. Your leadership will support innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery, enhancing both patient care and hospital operations. About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Pharmacist in General Medicine, with strong leadership abilities, a proficient clinician and a passion for delivering high-quality pharmacy services in a hospital setting. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Qualifications & Expertise – A Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent and registration (or eligibility) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia , along with extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice.
  • Leadership & Teamwork – Proven ability to lead, supervise, educate, and train both professional and non-professional staff while working effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery.
  • Communication & Organisational Abilities – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy in a complex environment.
