About This Role Aircraft Technician / Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - AME Structures Darwin, NT The opportunity Airbus has opportunities for permanent full time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Structures (AME Structures) to join our ARH maintenance team at Robertson Barracks in sunny Darwin! As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in our team at Darwin, you will work closely with an fantastic team of technical experts undertaking aviation maintenance activities supporting the ARH Tiger.

About The Role

Our AME's in Darwin are primarily responsible for performing ARH Maintenance activities while also conducting Off aircraft maintenance and supporting operational units in Industry specific tasks, such as advanced systems troubleshooting and rectification, and aircraft or component modifications.

Reporting to the Team Lead Component Deeper Maintenance, through respective Aircraft Technical Leads, you will be responsible for all ARH maintenance activities undertaken by the Darwin Maintenance teams associated with your trade.

This position requires interaction with numerous stakeholders to identify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirement and plays an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction.

You can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Conduct maintenance in accordance with the relevant regulations
  • As part of a Team, undertake aircraft maintenance activities within your Quality Authorisations as directed by your supervisor, to ensure delivery of aircraft to meet the specified delivery schedule
  • Ensure that all aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance activities are conducted effectively, efficiently, and performed, supervised, inspected and certified in compliance with either the Airbus Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) or 1 AVN MOE as applicable
  • Identify new opportunities for enhancement of maintenance services
About You To be successful in this role you will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The skills and experience suited to this role include:
  • Diploma Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent issued by a Registered Training Organisation
  • Knowledge and experience in complex composite repairs including Carbon Composites
  • High-Level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and it's applicability in the relevant environment
  • Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
  • Knowledge of and experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of and experience using CAMM2 is an advantage
You must be eligible for an Australian Government Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.
