Description:
Reporting to the Director, you will be working collaboratively among a close knit team, the role will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare and process weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy in pay rates, deductions, and superannuation contributions.
- Complete and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
- Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist in preparing monthly and yearly financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Ensure accurate tax reporting and assist in preparation for annual tax returns.
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax planning, audits, and other financial matters.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the team as needed.
Requirements:
About You:
- To be considered for this role, you'll need a solid understanding of accounting principles and will have had hands-on experience in an end-to-end bookkeeping role. You'll be proficient in Xero (or similar) accounting software and MS Excel, with a keen eye for detail and strong time management skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the professional services industry is highly advantageous but not a must have. A positive, reliable attitude and the ability to work well within a team are key to success in this role
