We are seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our Control Systems team for our African construction projects. You will coordinate and drive commissioning on a range of mineral processing projects in Africa. These projects, driven by ECG from the study phase, are now entering final construction, commissioning, and handover.
Key Requirements:

• Solid understanding of technical (E, I&C) principles and experience in developing and designing Control Systems for complex industrial plants and assets.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working in a specialised electrical/control systems team from pre-commissioning to final closeout, ideally with remote plant (Africa) experience.
• Control systems design experience, ideally with exposure to Allen-Bradley PLCs and Citect SCADA.
• Ability to contribute effectively in meetings, exercise good judgment, collaborate, and execute commissioning reporting to maintain project momentum.

This role will be FIFO from Australia to Africa on a 6-2 roster, working with an established project and engineering team in Perth and our site electrical crews.
To be considered for the role of Lead Commissioning Engineer - Control Systems, you need solid commissioning experience on complex, high-value projects in remote locations. While the project duration is 3-5 months, ECG Engineering hires for the long term, not just for projects.
As these projects transform into operational plants, you may have the option to move onto a range of ECG’s other ongoing projects in the minerals and metals space in our Perth or Brisbane office.
