About Us:
The Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership. Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement. Road Safety is accountable to the Minister for Police and the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Contracts Adviser, the Contract Officer will play a key role in supporting the operational delivery, performance, and assessment of a wide range of road safety camera services.
This role will investigate and report on the operational performance against contractual obligations, including key performance indicators (KPIs), service standards and service levels across two key contracts.
The role supports various tasks in contract management across the full contract lifecycle including monitoring contract compliance, assessment of potential breaches of the contract, management of change processes, supplier governance, compliance and identify non-compliance reporting and providing written and verbal advice to internal and external stakeholders.
The Contract Officer ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining program infrastructure that identifies measures and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules that govern Road Safety.
Some of your duties will include:
- Preparing, implementing and maintaining the compliance-monitoring strategy, overseeing the team's use of the Departments contract management systems and process.
- Leading and facilitating consultative processes with internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to contractual issues and guidelines for the contract compliance team, and report on meeting objective and outcome, including action items.
- Facilitating internal and external meetings to discuss work change orders and supplementary documentation.

As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring service delivery against contract specifications.
- An understanding of contract processes and procedures.
- High-level skills in the use of software applications such as spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- An understanding of the audit methodologies used to monitor contract compliance using a range of information sources.
Qualifications:
- Contract management qualification or relevant work experience is desirable.
