Selection Criteria
In addition to the general selection criteria:
1. Demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and emotional intelligence which enhances the capacity of others and strengthens staff efficacy to drive a culture of high expectations throughout our diverse school community.
2. Proven school curriculum leadership, focused on reflective evidence based and data informed practices with the ability to strategically lead change that results in academic growth and high achievement.
3. Proven ability to support the well-being of students through proactive strategies that encourage positive behaviour and create an inclusive, engaging learning environment where all students can achieve and maximise their learning outcomes.
4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a highly visible instructional leader, to strategically lead initiatives and critically apply evidence informed practice to drive our school’s strategic directions.
General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
