How will I help?
This role, Transition Lead, Strategic Partnering Centre of Excellence exists to support the Westpac Group to achieve best in class cost to income ratio through Strategic Partnering, driving a step change in productivity and capability, enabled by Strategic Partners. The role will lead key Strategic Partner transitions and support the activities within the end-to-end Strategic Partnering value chain.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Understand business and workforce strategies and how Strategic Partnering will enable these strategies.
- Successfully manage various risks and interdependencies to actively execute Transition activities and ensure the outputs are optimised and we meet business requirements.
- Build Group wide Strategic Partnering capabilities, supporting the business to meet their transition needs through Strategic Partnering best practice, guiding and coaching key stakeholders on the mandatory requirements of the process
- Work with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery, leveraging existing business cadence and resources, where possible, remove variation and uplift the process of Transitions.
- Help the business to align short term requirements with the long-term direction (North Star) to scale and transform, realising benefits year on year (business and customer outcomes)
- Successfully manage various interdependencies to actively execute transition activities and ensure the outputs are optimised accordingly and risks are mitigated.
- Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes; and work closely with other teams to deliver improvements.

What do I need?
- Strong, senior leadership experience in Financial Services and / or Consulting.
- Experience in leading Business and Knowledge Process and IT outsourcing and offshoring at scale, with subject matter expertise in vendor / partner management, and transitions.
- Experience in senior program management, working with diverse range of stakeholders to influence strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrate examples of delivering similar Transitions across both ITO, BPO and KPO as part of business transformation.
- Demonstrate market understanding of leading practice within Strategic Partnering
- Understanding of Value Chain Management and Business Process optimisation, simplification, and automation
