H&S Advisor

Description:

ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced H&S Advisor to join a well-established civil contractor on a $20 million water infrastructure project. This is a FIFO role from Brisbane to regional QLD, operating on a 2:1 or 3:1 roster.
Initially offered as a contract position, this role presents a strong opportunity for a permanent transition, as our client has a steady pipeline of future projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Provide safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks to site personnel.
• Investigate and report incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Maintain HSE records and prepare reports as required.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Work Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent qualification.
• Previous work history within the AU/NZ construction market
• Strong understanding of Australian workplace health and safety regulations.
• Ability to engage with teams and promote a strong safety culture.

Benefits:

• $110-140k + super, negotiable depending on experience.
• FIFO roster options: 2:1 or 3:1 from Brisbane.
