your opportunity

As the Employment Coach , you will be part of a support team that works together with the young person and will focus on building their skills, confidence and readiness to enter employment through targeted and tailored activities. In this role, you will use your customer service skills and ability to build working relationships with young people to support them to gain skills that will lead them to meaningful, sustainable employment.

Your role will include:

  • Completing intake assessments with the participant to determine work readiness
  • Working in collaboration with the member to goal set and implement strategies
  • Source and match employment opportunities for young people using a strengths based, client-centred approach
  • Job matching, cold calling and reverse marketing the young person to employers

In addition, you also possess;

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing actions including job seeking activities to progress the young person on their pathway to employment.
  • The drive to meet KPIs – it isn’t just a number; it is a young person’s life that you help change for the better.
  • Proficient skills in using technology and systems; our compliance requirements are high, and your administration needs to be on par with this.
  • Great employer engagement skills - you love cold calling and reverse marketing
  • Your practice is client focused, our young people are at the heart of it, and you genuinely want to make a difference in their lives.
  • You are resilient and can work in a fast-paced environment where no 2 days are the same.
  • A solid understanding of the local labour market as well as the barriers faced by disadvantaged young people
