Salary range: $88,483 to $96,733 per annum + 13% superannuation.

About the role
Are you ready to make a real impact in workplace safety while navigating the challenges of local government? We're looking for a skilled and resilient WHS professional to join our team.
As one of our two Work Health and Safety Advisors at the City of Hobart, you will play a critical role in fostering a safe and compliant workplace. This role requires someone who is not only technically skilled in WHS policies, investigations, and risk management but also capable of working within the structured processes of local government. You’ll need to be adaptable, solution-focused, and confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels to champion a positive safety culture.

About you
You’re a confident and adaptable WHS professional who thrives in complex environments. With a strong understanding of safety legislation and risk management, you’re not just about compliance—you’re about driving cultural change. Your resilience and problem-solving skills help you navigate red tape, influence stakeholders, and implement practical safety solutions.
- Diploma in Work Health and Safety or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, qualifications, and/or experience.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and safety systems.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and audits (ICAM training desirable).
- Ability to obtain necessary background checks.
