Join our Disaster Resilience Team
The Disaster Resilience Unit is responsible and accountable for Security, Fire Life Safety, Incident Management and Business Continuity across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. The Unit works to ensure adequate planning, preparedness, response and recovery for local, site and system wide incidents.
About the role:
The Compliance and Training Coordinator is responsible for contributing to disaster resilience through the effective co-ordination and management of Compliance and Training across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. This role works within the Disaster Resilience Unit to ensure compliance with standards, legislation, policy and procedure across the areas of fire, security, emergency response and emergency management.
This role has increased responsibilities which expand across the network to include Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Health Services, Repat Health Precinct (RHP), Marion & Noarlunga GP plus sites and other outlying facilities.
Duties for the role will include:
- Establishment of systems that enable the collection, analysis and reporting of data that contributes to the effective and safe management of fire safety, security, incident management and emergency response.
- Developing and monitoring frameworks to ensure compliance with codes, standards, legislation, policy and procedures across key areas of fire, security, emergency response, emergency management and business continuity.
- Establishing, monitoring and reporting on safety, quality and risk systems to support effective service governance.
About you:
- To be successful, you must possess a Diploma or Certificate IV in training or assessment or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with a diverse range of stakeholders using a variety of strategies.
- Interpersonal skills which foster the trust and cooperation of others. Ability to work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to develop and deliver training packages including practical demonstrations. Ability to analyse problems and data and provide accurate and appropriate findings.
