At the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network, we are seeking a Quality Risk and Safety (QRS) Coordinator who will help shape and implement strategies to ensure country people’s health needs are met. Why this role matters:
As the QRS Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in improving quality, safety, and risk management within our Community Health and Mental Health services. You will be the driving force behind our continuous improvement initiatives and will work closely with managers and stakeholders to deliver better healthcare experiences. You will monitor, analyse, and report on key data, while supporting our team to implement meaningful changes to services across the region. Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate the planning, delivery, and evaluation of quality, risk, and patient safety systems across multiple health units.
- Prepare detailed reports, including data analysis and trend tracking, to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to drive continuous improvement and risk minimisation across services.
- Assist in managing projects aimed at enhancing patient care and service quality.
- Provide insights into non-compliance and help implement corrective actions.
- Liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and fostering a collaborative approach.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in report preparation and data analysis, with the ability to derive insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage high volumes of work.
- In-depth knowledge of quality improvement principles, risk management systems, and accreditation standards.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling sensitive matters and problem-solving with innovation and creativity.
