The Old Noarlunga Hotel, known by locals as the “Oldy,” is seeking a Venue Manager to lead and motivate our team.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this is an amazing opportunity to work with a venue that is loved by locals. As the Venue Manager, you will be accountable for the oversight of the hotel’s on-premise operations and proudly be the face of the hotel.
You will enjoy playing an active role in the growth of the hotel, building strong customer and supplier relationships and provide memorable experiences, along with creating a culture of exceptional service standards with department managers.
Key Duties
- Lead, motivate and inspire your team to fulfil their potential through cultivation of an inclusive workplace culture;
- Recruitment, induction and training of all department teams, including, product education, training and rostering;
- Management of beverage list, working closely with the Group Beverage Manager;
- Management and training of POS systems across the venue including menu updates, user management and correct use of systems per venue policy;
- Utilise marketing mediums to deliver timely and effective messaging to drive loyalty program memberships leading to revenue growth and up to date events communications; and
- Management of Financial budgets and targets through food and beverage, ensuring operational requirements are maintained within target whilst having a continuous improvement mindset to streamline operations where possible.
About you
Skills and attributes
- Experience in building a venue that is driven to succeed, thirsty for knowledge and driven to provide new concepts and experiences;
- Well organised and able to work under pressure and to deadlines;
- Excellent written skills, well-presented and have great communication skills;
- Attention to detail with an eye for presentation and quality;
- Able to accept significant levels of responsibility and accountability;
- Ability to train, motivate and counsel staff in identified performance opportunities;
- RSA, RSG, Advanced Gaming and Responsible Person certificates essential; and
- Formal qualifications in Hospitality/Business Management highly desirable however not essential.
